# Connect a WhatsApp number

> Link a WhatsApp number to Odia by scanning a QR code from your phone.

Follow this guide to link a WhatsApp number so your team can message from Odia. Have the phone with that WhatsApp number in your hand before you start.

<Note>
  WhatsApp is a paid feature. Only an Owner or an Admin can connect a number. If you don't see **WhatsApp** under **Settings → Communications**, it isn't enabled for your organization.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Name the connection">
    Go to **Settings → Communications → WhatsApp** and stay on the **Connected Phones** tab.

    Enter a **Connection Name**, such as **Sales Team**, then select **Connect WhatsApp Number**. The name only helps your team tell numbers apart.

    If a number is already connected, select **Connect New Number** first to open this form.

| **QR code expired. Generate a new one.** | Select **Get new QR**. You don't need to create the connection again. |
| The card shows **Disconnected** | Select **Reconnect** on the card, then scan with the same WhatsApp number. Your conversations stay in Odia. |
